A DEPLOYMENT consists of a Scenario, optionally an Elastic Test Case, and custom properties. To create a Deployment:
Step 1: Add a Scenario (Optional)
Note: Skip this step for Fortify and Sonar scans.
First you need to create a Scenario
From the Main Nav menu, select "Scenarios", browse to or search for your Scenario
On the Scenario card, click the "+" button. Alternatively, select the Scenario and click "Add to Deployment Builder"
Step 2: Add a Test Asset (Optional)
Create a Test Asset for an Elastic Test Tool (e.g. Nessus, Fortify, WebEx)
From the Main Nav menu, select "Tests", browse to or search for your Test Asset
On the Test card, click the "+" button. Alternatively, select the Test and click "Add to Deployment Builder"
Step 3: Add Custom Properties
- Select the Deployment Builder from the top-left
Add a Name and optionally a Description, click "Next"
Add Custom Properties as key-value pairs. Click here for more information about Custom Properties. For example:
mySecretPassword=abcde12345
LICENSE_SERVER=10.220.103.160
LOG_LEVEL=debug
- Click the Save button once these steps have been completed, or click Save & Launch to also immediately jump to the Run wizard.
Step 4: Launch your Deployment
From the Main Nav menu, select "Deployments", browse to or search for your Scenario
Click the "Launch" button, and select your options defined here in the Run Wizard
Now just relax, get some other stuff done, and wait for the email notification when your Run has completed!
